Why this region
In the northern Arunta near Barrow Creek, historical work recorded uranium together with base metals and tungsten, much of it never drill-tested. It is a strong fit for a data-first approach.
The area sits within high-grade Palaeoproterozoic metamorphic rocks and granites of the Arunta Region. The wider district has a long history of small-scale tungsten and tin working tied to granite-related veins and pegmatites. Those same granites are a likely source for the uranium recorded in earlier surveys, which is why we assess the metals together rather than one at a time.
